BEST OF SHOW

Well, my first dog show. The dogs were cute, prancing and jumping around the ring. We drove down to Chilliwack to check out the show with hopes of seeing some well-bred Schnauzers that would still not stack up against my Lacey. However, when we arrived we saw but one Schnauzer. However, I must say, "Lacey was so much better looking". Oooh, a dog owner's bias! -- but in this case she was.

Anyways, the show was interesting. The judges looked somewhat overdressed in their formal attire and the handlers were equally as awkward most seeming to be winded after one quick prance around the ring. Some dog's pranced with that same stick up their rear as their handlers while most others were too interested in sniffing the trail of the dog's that blazed the way ahead of them. The judges seemed a little overzealous, each one piercing the dog's with their expert critical eyes and in the end passing judgment that made winners jump and losers hang their head as if their world had now officially ceased to exist. So in the end, the true stars really were the dogs.

I saw probably every breed of dog imaginable. Dog's that were as small as the palm of your hand against horses that were apparently dogs. So the day was great, the dogs were cute and I realized how much I really needed to give Teddy a grooming.
